It’s claimed ‘it’s a given’ Clare parents would want to maintain religous denominations in schools.
It follows a survey of parents nationwide questioning the role of religion and the Irish language in schools going forward.

In Clare, 60% of respondents indicated a preference for primary schools to maintain a religous ethos.
Presenter of Clare FM’s Cúl Chaint and Irish language enthusiast, Dónal Ó’Loinsigh , says people, particularly in rural parts of the county, have built up incredible loyalty to the schools in the community through generations.
