Shannon TD, Donna McGettigan is criticising the lack of delivery of student accomodation in time for the new semester alongside a €1,000 increase to the cost of fees.

The Sinn Féin Deputy claims 70% of students forced to utilise digs for accomodation have no formal contract and are forced to live under strict rules.
She says, some students are forced to enroll in courses, in which they have no interest, due to being unable to afford college accomodation.
