The Children’s Minister is meeting with Tusla after concerns were raised about the future of a School Counselling Grants Scheme.
It’s after Clare Fianna Fáil TD Timmy Dooley flagged the intention to shut down the scheme, a move which he called “an attack” on services in schools.

The scheme enables schools to provide support to some of the most vulnerable children in their communities.
Minister Katherine Zappone says she too has been lobbied against the closure of the scheme, and hopes the decision can be overturned.
