120 children and young adults with special needs will be arriving into Shannon Airport this afternoon from Chernobyl.
They’ll be staying with host families from 9 different counties for a month-long rest and recuperation holiday.

Over 25,500 have come to Ireland under Chernobyl Children International’s programme since the Belarusian nuclear disaster in 1986.
Spokesperson for the charity, Aileen O’Sullivan there’ll be a huge welcome at Shannon Airport for the children.
