Chambers Criticises Government On Rural Promises

A West Clare councillor says the government has failed to follow through on election-time promises to deliver broadband to rural Ireland.

Bill Chambers has called on the Municipal District to contact the Communications Minister to urge him to provide funding to improve internet access in the area.

Around 14,000 homes in Clare have already been earmarked for high-speed broadband under the National Broadband Plan.
