There are calls for West Clare to be included in a Just Transition Fund, announced to help offset job losses caused by climate change.

There was no mention of Moneypoint in the announcement, in spite over 100 staff there being hit with redundancy as activity at the coal-burning plant is scaled back.
Clare Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway last night told the Seanad that Moneypoint must not be left out.
