A West Clare Councillor is calling for a new playground to be established in Kilrush.
A plan for a recreational area in the town’s centre is being proposed and government funding will be sought by the local authority for the amenities.

Clare County Council say they’re currently undertaking research to secure a suitable site in the West Clare town for such a project.
Independent Councillor Ian Lynch says he is hoping the facility will contribute to efforts to improve rural living for families in the area.
