The Mayor of Clare is facing pressure to condemn the United States’ support of Israel during his St.Patrick’s Day trip.
Cathaoirleach Joe Cooney will visit New York on March 17th, where he will meet his equivalent office holder, with Justice Minister Helen McEntee also expected to travel.
Although the US has pledged to build a temporary port in Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid, the same administration also provided Israel with €3.8b in military aid just last year.
