A marketing plan is being sought as part of efforts to bring increased footfall into the East Clare area.
Councillor Michael Begley has suggested that creating a Ring of Lough Derg would build on tha area’s existing tourism initiatives, which focus on water related activities.

He believes that efforts need to be stepped up to attract the high numbers of visitors taking to the water towards the shore, in order to provide a boost for the local economy.
