Calls have been made in Clare for fiscal penalties to be put in place to encourage owners of vacant houses to lease their property to people in need of a home.
26-year-old Rebecca Doyle is one of two candidates for the Social Democrats in Clare, who will be running for the party in next year’s local elections.
She’ll seek election in the Killaloe Municipal District, while Betty Walsh from Shannonbanks, will be running in the Shannon District.
