Thousands of people will descend on Lisdoonvarna this weekend as the 2014 matchmaking festival gets underway.

The festivities will continue right through until October with Country Music, dancing, sulky races all on the agenda.
This year sees the Gay and Lesibian weekend – the outing – incorporated into the month long celebrations.
John Connolly of the Rathbaun Hotel in Listdoovarna says business people are looking forward to a deluge of visitors.
