Tánaiste Says Government Determined To Find Operator For Roche Site

The Tánaiste says the new government is determined to find a new operator for the Roche site in Clarecastle.

In 2015, the Swiss pharmaceutical company announced it was to pull out of it’s long standing base, but so far efforts to secure a new investor have been unsuccessful.

Speaking in the Dáil, Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD Cathal Crowe has said the site is of huge importance to Clare, having been based there since 1974, while he noted the site’s state of the art laboratory.
