Fans of J-R-R Tolkien will descend on the Burren this weekend for a festival in his honour.
The ten day event will examine the Lord of the Rings writer's connection to Clare's world renowned landscape.

Dr Liam Campbell,a writer and scholar from Northern Ireland, has studied Tolkien extensively.
He will speak as part of this weekend's events, he says the Burren's influence on him is under recognised.
