BOI indicate interest rate hike possible

Bank of Ireland says it’s not ruling out further  mortgage interest rate increases as the bank attempts to return to profitability.

Its Chief Executive Richie Boucher also says the bank  does not have a policy of writing down mortgage debt for people who are in arrears.

He made the comments after results showed the bank sustained pre-tax
losses of 2.1 billion euro last year.
