The Bishop of Killaloe says there will be a small backlog of communions and confirmations that will have to be cleared in the diocese next month.

The ceremonies are set to be given the green light to resume from next week this evening.

It follows the sacraments having been put off in the diocese since the back end of last year.

Speaking with Clare FM’s Josh Prenderville, Bishop Fintan Monahan says groups in the likes of Ennis and Kilrush may have to have several smaller ceremonies rather than one big event.
