Clare students who took part in this year’s Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition have taken home eight awards.

Pupils at Mary Immaculate Secondary School in Lisdoonvarna take home two awards, a further two were presented to Saint John Bosco Community College in Kildysart.
Kilrush Community School, Scariff Community College, Ennis Community College and Scoil Mhuire Ennistymon were also presented with prizes.
The overall award went to students from Synge Street in Dublin and were presented with a cheque for €5,000, tickets to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the opportunity to represent Ireland at the 24th European Union Young Scientist competition taking place in Bratislava in September and a Waterford crystal trophy.
