Forsa Calls on Aer Lingus To Update Staff on Future Plans For Shannon

The trade union representing cabin crew at Shannon Airport insists there’s a responsibility on the company to provide an update on its plans for future operations at the Midwest base as well as its commitment to those who work there.

It follows the revelation that Shannon-based Aer Lingus cabin crew are to remain laid off from work past their expected date to return to work.

Fórsa Trade Union says its members now face being laid off until at least June 20th, in a devastating blow for the staff.

The airline laid off around 130 staff in March, for what was expected to be a three-month period, but latest cabin crew rosters reveal that the lay offs are set to continue indefinitely.
