Calls On Government o Avoid Using US Military To Keep Shannon Open

The Government is being called on to avoid using the US military to help keep Shannon Airport open.

Over just three days at the end of May, Shannonwatch says it recorded nine US military related flights at Shannon.

The Peace and human rights group wants to see a development strategy for the airport that doesn’t include what it describes as a “reliance on the transit of foreign troops and their weapons to keep it open”.
