The average cost of renting a three-bed property for new tenants in Clare has eclipsed €1,500 a month.
The latest report from Daft.ie into the rental market shows these properties fetched over 10% more than 12 months ago.
€1,653 was the average monthly rent for a new three bed property in the county between July and September.
This is a 10.6% yearly increase of €165 a month, while the figure is also 20% higher than the amount paid between April and June.
The price of two bed rental properties also saw a sharp increase, up almost 12% to €1,306 a month when compared to last year.
For the first time, the latest Daft.ie report also offers insight in the cost of newly renting a room in Clare.
The report shows the average cost of leasing a room in the county is €609.
The highest price paid monthly was €689 for a double room with an en-suite, up almost 5% from 2024 figures.
Meanwhile a double room without an en-suite fetched €605, up 4%, and a single room without bathroom facilities cost €535, up 2%.
In comparison, the average monthly rent for a one-bed apartment in Clare came in at €1,117 monthly, while studios were leased for an average of €1,041 a month.
