The average price of a home in Clare was over €300,000 for the first time last year.
The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office show the value of residential property sales in the county in 2025 came to just under €330 million.
A total of 1,019 houses were sold in Clare last year, with these transactions coming to a value of €328 million.
The median price paid for a home in the county was €306,000, making 2025 the first time the average price was over €300,000 in Clare.
The data shows that prices are up 9% in a year and up 65% in the space of five years.
Ennis remains the most expensive place to buy a home in Clare, with €338,000 being the average paid in December.
This is followed by the Shannon region where the median was €335,000 while Kilrush is the most affordable area, with €202,500 being the average spent on a house there.
The number of transactions completed in the county rose by just under 2% from 1,001 in 2024 to 1,019 in 2025.
