An appeal for information has been issued after significant damage was done to Clarecastle Quay.
A large vehicle is believed to have struck the entrance to the quay yesterday afternoon.

One of the pillars on the entrance wall was destroyed, with extensive damage to the ‘Port of Clare’ sign, while parts of an Iveco vehicle are understood to have been found at the scene.
Local Sinn Féin Councillor, Tommy Guilfoyle is urging anyone with information on the incident to contact Gardaí.
