An East Clare community is expressing frustration following a government proposal to remove a full-time Special Needs Assistant from a local school.
It’s understood Flagmount NS has received correspondence from the Department of Education indicating it will lose its full time SNA for the next school term.

The Government has now, however, announced a pause to its ongoing SNA review, following significant backlash.
Scariff based Independent MEP Michael McNamara says the decision must be reversed.
