More rain has fallen in Clare in December than in the entire year before that and the organisation says solutions to the problem must allow for the fact that climate change will result in increased problems over the coming years.

An Taisce says the best answers will come from the Shannon Catchment Flood Risk Assessment and Management Study being undertaken by the OPW – results of which are expected in the summer.
