Almost a quarter of a million euro in extra funding has been granted to sports clubs in Clare following successful appeals.
The €240,000 is on top of around €1.5 million allocated in the latest round of Sports Capital Grants to clubs around the county late last year.

A further €109,400 will go to Active Kilrush, Scariff Rugby Club will receive €40,600, €63,000 has been awarded to Killaloe-Ballina Tennis Club and Newmarket Celtic Development Committee will get €26,300.
Though not all appeals to the Sports Capital Grants in Clare were successful, Clare Fine Gael TD Joe Carey says those who are disappointed will have another chance.
