Companies supported by Clare’s Local Enterprise Office created almost 200 jobs in the county last year.
New figures reveal firms assisted by the county’s LEO in 2025 currently employ over 1,300 people.
The annual results of the Local Enterprise Offices for 2025 announced by Minister of State for Employment, Small Business and Retail, Alan Dillon, give a snapshot of the impact of LEOs nationwide.
LEO Clare provided financial support to 206 small businesses in the county last year, with these companies employing 1,348 people.
The firms in question also created 184 new extra posts in 2025, resulting in a net jobs creation figure of 51.
Nationwide, there were 7,261 new jobs created by LEO clients last year.
The national net jobs creation figure was 51 which was up 7% on 2024, with the report noting that 82% of new jobs created were outside of the Dublin region.
