Clare Farmers To Join Dáil Protest

Dozens of farmers from Clare will join hundreds more from around the country in a major demonstration at government buildings today.

Around 1,000 farmers are making their way to Dublin this morning, bringing tractors right into the city centre to the gates of Leinster House, to highlight their concern with the demise of agriculture.

It’s part of a European-wide day of action, with their primary concerns being the likes of carbon tax, neglect of rural Ireland and issues preventing the Beef Market Taskforce from carrying out its work.
