‘Agencies Must Work Together’ – Clare Haven

The Services Manager of Clare Haven says the tragic killing of Clodagh Hawe and her sons shows the need for different agencies to work together.

In August of 2016, the Cavan school teacher and her sons Liam, Niall and Ryan were murdered by Clodagh’s husband Alan, who then took his own life.

This week, after her family called for a full inquiry into the murders, the Justice Minister has established a study into unlawful deaths of family members, a review which Chair of the Policing Authority Josephine Feehily says could save lives.

Marie McLaughlin of Clare Haven thinks lessons need to be learned from the case.
