Aer Lingus Hopes Expanded Transatlantic Offering From Shannon Will Boost Tourism

Management at Aer Lingus have expressed hope that expanded transatlantic services from Shannon Airport will help further drive tourism growth in the region.

The airline will operate three additional flights each week between Shannon and Boston from Mid May to August 20th next summer.

It will bring the number of seats available to North America from Shannon Airport to over 350,000, which is the highest number of seats since 2018.

Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Aer Lingus, Donal Moriarty says the expansion comes off the back of increased passenger numbers in the first half of the year and they’re hopeful of further growth.
