A Weekend of Water Restrictions for Corofin and Ruan

Water tankers remain on hand in Corofin and Ruan toady, due to ongoing water restrictions.

They were put in place after an algal bloom was discovered at Inchiquin Lake, and people are now asked not to consume their tap water or to use it for bathing or brushing teeth.

The water restrictions will remain until Monday at least, while the Council is carrying out works to connect some customers to an alternative supply.

Drinking water tankers are being provided outside Bofey Quinns Pub, at St. Patrick's Community Hall, opposite Kerry Agri and at the grotto in Corofin town as well as at the Dalcassian Pub in Ruan.
