91 On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital

University Hospital Limerick is once again the most overcrowded hospital in the country.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has reported a spike in the level of overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick today.

The union’s latest trolleywatch analysis shows there were 91 patients waiting for beds at the region’s main hospital this morning, 52 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is almost double the next busiest facility.
