83 On Trolleys At University Hospital Limerick

Nurses say there’s a high level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital today.

The latest INMO statistics show there were 83 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 48 of those in the Emergency Department.

It’s 24 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital.

It comes on a day when 439 patients were left waiting for beds at hospitals across the country.
