More than three quarters of a million euro in funding is being allocated to Clare to help bring social housing back into use.
The Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage has today announced €40 million in funding for local authorities, which will help prepare around 2,200 local authority homes across the country for re-letting this year.
Minister James Browne has also announced a new model for the Voids Programme, which will link future funding allocations to local authority performance, with a strong focus on reducing vacancy levels and improving turnaround times.
Clare County Council is to receive €298,620 towards planned maintenance this year, with a further €352,000 granted under the Voids Allocations.
The funding represents a 26% increase on the total allocation for this county last year.
