71 On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital Today

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has reduced, though University Hospital Limerick remains by far the busiest in the country.

Latest INMO trolley watch statistics show there were 71 patients waiting for beds at the Dooradoyle facility this morning, 30 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 13 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 603 people have been left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
