6 New Cases Of COVID-19 Confirmed In Clare; 434 New Cases Nationally

6 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Clare this evening, with 434 confirmed nationally. 

Clare’s five day moving average of new cases is now 3, while our fourteen-day incidence rate per 100,000 of 43.8 is the sixth lowest in the country.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 1 additional death related to COVID-19.

There has been a total of 4,867 COVID-19 related deaths in Ireland.

Of the cases notified today:

  • 228 are men / 204 are women
  • 74% are under 45 years of age
  • The median age is 31 years old
  • 217 in Dublin, 30 in Kildare, 30 in Cork, 27 in Limerick, 21 Donegal and the remaining 109 cases are spread across 20 other counties.**. As of 8am today, 166 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 48 are in ICU. 17 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
