The proposal consists of 32x semi-detached homes, 8x terrace houses and 8x duplex apartments.

The homes themselves would be made up of 4x 1 bed-room apartments, 14x 2-bed units, 26x 3-bed dwellings and 4x 4-bed homes.

Under Part V Planning obligations, which have been agreed in principle , between 5 and nine of the properties must be used for either social or affordable housing or both.

The development is proposed for a 1.97 hectare site on the Knockaderry area of the Tulla Road in the Maples Housing Estate and would also involve the construction of a new footpath, cycle path and road for pedestrian and vehicular access, along with a 94 space car park.

Clare County Council will be accepting public submissions on the proposal until April 3rd , with a decision due on the 24th.
