40 New Jobs at Element Six in Shannon

Element Six  is creating one of two centres of excellance for synthetic diamond supermaterials in Shannon. 

The company is investing 25 million euro in developing its base in the Shannon Free Zone and is expanding its workforce of 350 by 40 people over the next six months.

The move announced at a briefing the morning also involves the movement of 20 million euro worth of assests to their Clare site. 

The company has undergone sinificant restructuring since 2009 and has reduced its plants to two and CEO Walter Huehn says they are firmly committed to staying in Clare.
