A major bus route running from Galway to Ennis has been deemed a “source of anxiety” for those who have to use it regularly.

The 350 bus service, which runs six times daily and connects Galway, Kinvara, Doolin, the Cliffs of Moher and Ennis, has been frequently criticised for poor punctuality and insufficient capacity among other issues.

Two students, Aoibhín Twomey and Síofra McGuire, have launched a petition which has garnered over 1000 signatures calling for frequency and capacity on the 350 to be boosted.

Aoibhín, who lives and studies in Galway but relies on the bus to return home to Kinvara, believes the Government and National Transport Authority should shift their focus from tourists to local people who need dependable transport.
