Over 600 new homes were constructed in Clare last year.
New CSO figures show there was a 17% annual rise in the number of new dwellings built in this county.
In total, 625 new homes were completed across Clare in 2025.
It marks an increase of 17% on the 534 homes, built the previous year.
The majority of homes built in Clare were scheme homes, which generally refer to social and affordable housing projects and accounted for 325 of the new units added to the county’s housing stock.
A further 265 one-off homes were also delivered here last year, in addition to 40 apartments.
The majority of the new homes were built in the Ennis Electoral Area, accounting for 169, 138 new homes were delivered in East Clare, 121 came on stream in West Clare, 120 in Shannon and South East Clare, with the remaining 77 coming on stream in the Ennistymon LEA.
