17 households in Clare availed of the Government’s Mortgage To Rent scheme in the third quarter of 2021.
The initiative, first introduced in 2013, lets homeowners switch from owning a home to renting it as a social housing tenant.
The Department of Housing claims the inclusion of a provider from the private sector has facilitated more individuals and families staying in their homes.
