The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is continuing to climb.
The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 131 admitted patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 60 of those in the Emergency Department.

University Hospital Galway was the second busiest in the country today, with 73 recorded on trolleys, while there were 9 awaiting beds at Ennis Hospital.
