University Hospital Limerick remains by far and away the busiest facility in the country in the wake of the August Bank Holiday.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation recorded 130 patients on trolleys at the MidWest region’s main hospital this morning.

47 of those patients were recorded in the Emergency Department, with a further 83 on wards elsewhere in the hospital.
It comes on a day where the INMO says 617 patients are waiting for hospital beds nationwide.
