More than 100 people in Clare are currently on a waiting list for cataract treatment.
Figures released by Minister of Health Stephen Donnelly show 119 people in this county are waiting for the procedure – 10 of these for more than 18 months.
40 people here are waiting longer than a year for treatment, with the Department of Health suggesting the number of people on referral lists has been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
