This week’s guest on Morning Focus With Alan Morrissey is Brother Liam O’Meara.
Liam is Director of the Burren Chernobyl Project.
It was established in 1993 to help with child victims of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster, which devastated large parts of Belarus and Ukraine.

Liam might hail from Limerick, but he has called Ennistymon home for close to 40 years.
Indeed, Liam taught there, until he became involved full-time with the Burren Chernobyl Project.
He and his colleagues in the Project have done incredible work and made a real difference in the lives of so many children.
It forms a huge part of his story, which you are about to hear.
