Mary (May) Burke (née O’Dea)
Tullabrack, Cooraclare, Kilrush, Co. Clare.
Thursday 6th August. Passed away peacefully, in her 98th year, at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her husband Martin, her parents Patrick and Margaret, and her brothers Michael, Christy, Pat and Joe.
May will be greatly missed by her loving children, Gerry, Marie, Maggie, Martin and Kevin; her sisters, Margaret and Teresa; her brother, Marty; daughters-in-law and sons-in law, Catheriona, Pat, Lawrence, Catherine and Brid; her adored grandchildren, Joseph, Blake, Niamh, Clara, Rebecca, Cian, Shane and Eoin; her great grand children, Billie May and Fiadh Rose; sisters-in-law, Ilish, Mary (Marty) and Mary (Joe); her nieces, nephews and extended family; and her neighbours and many friends.
May will lie in repose at her home in Tullabrack, V15 PN56, on Saturday 8th August from 5pm to 8pm. A one-way traffic system will be in operation with access to the house via the main Cooraclare to Kilrush road only.
May’s Funeral Mass will be on Sunday 9th August at 10:30am in St. Senan’s Church, Cooraclare, followed by burial immediately afterwards in Breaffa Cemetery. Family flowers only, please.
