Young Girl Treated For Minor Injuries After Lissycasey Collision

The N68 Ennis to Kilrush road has reopened following a road traffic accident earlier this evening.

The two-car collision occurred on the N68 Ennis to Kilrush road outside Talty’s filling station and shop in Lissycasey at around 6.00pm.

An off-duty National Ambulance Service paramedic is understood to have stopped to lend assistance. An ambulance was also dispatched to the incident.

Units of Clare County Fire and Rescue Service from Ennis station responded to the incident along with Gardaí.

The two adult occupants of one car and an adult and a young girl travelling in the second vehicle were assessed at the scene by paramedics. The girl was treated at the scene for a leg injury before being transported to hospital for further treatment. Her injuries are not serious.
