Urgent Action Needed To Save Up To 9,000 Jobs In Clare’s Tourism Sector

The Taoiseach is facing fresh calls to provide urgent supports to Shannon Airport amid fears that up to 9,000 jobs will be lost across the tourism sector in Clare.

The Clare Tourism Recovery Taskforce has written an open letter to Micheal Martin, calling for the recommendations of the Aviation Taskforce to be fully implemented.

It also wants the Government to outline how it intends to deliver targeted supports to Shannon Airport to support the retention of services offering key international connectivity to North America and the UK.
