Uisce Éireann will begin works next week to upgrade and replace water supplies on Clon Road, Ennis.
The improvement works will replace over 600m of aged waters mains believed to be laid in the early part of the last century with new modern pipes.
The project will take place along Clon Road from the Station Road roundabout to Clare Road by St. Flannan’s College with the portion of the road from the Station Road roundabout to the Toberteascain junction closed for the duration of the works.
The works are expected to get underway next Wednesday the 28th of June and will conclude on the 25th of August.
Ennis native and programme manager with Uisce Éireann Gerry O’Donnell says the project will be of great benefit to locals in terms of water quality.
