A swimming ban has been lifted with immediate effect at Kilkee, Spanish Point and White Strand Miltown Malbay – however, bathing restrictions remain at Lahinch.

The bathing restrictions have been lifted following analysis and on the advice of the HSE.

The temporary prohibition on swimming at Lahinch has been revised to an advisory note not to swim, therefore it is advised not to swim at Lahinch.

Clare County Council advises that the safest place to swim is at lifeguarded locations.
