Public Consultation On Limerick To Scariff Greenway To Commence In The Coming Weeks

An East Clare councillor insists locals deserve to know if a new greenway will encroach on farming activities.

Public consultation will commence in the coming weeks on the Limerick to Scariff Greenway which will link Limerick City to Scariff via Clonlara, O’Briensbridge, Killaloe, Ogonnelloe and Tuamgraney.

Waterways Ireland has confirmed a preferred route corridor report is in final draft stage and once public consultation has concluded, the project will progress to detailed design, approvals and delivery.

Whitegate Fine Gael Councillor Pat Burke says consultation is vital as there’s a degree of “unease” around the possibility of the greenway running through farmland.
