A North Clare Councillor says the local authority remains powerless other than to await the outcome of a court process surrounding Blake’s Corner.
Long tailback have once again been witnessed at the notorious traffic blackspot in recent weekends, as the summer tourist season begins to get underway.
An Bord Pleanala granted approval for a new bridge and inner relief road last September however an application to review that decision was subsequently submitted to the High Court.

The matter is due before the courts again today and Ennistymon Councillor Shane Talty says depending on the outcome of the judicial review, works could begin within a year.
